That Girl has been delighted to be involved in not just one but two, brand new events which have taken place in North Notts this summer on behalf of client North Notts BID.

July 25th – officially the hottest day ever! saw the first North Notts Food Fest take place in Worksop. Over 20 local artisan food supplier came along to support celebrity chefs Dean Edwards and Brian Turner. Children enjoyed activities provided by Go Bake and Liver Cottage and, after literally melting in the heat, foodie visitors went home having enjoyed a great day whilst suppliers reported an excellent day’s trading.
Over 4000 people were in town during the course of the day – a good increase on the normal footfall for a Thursday – and despite the heat, a number of great entries came forward for title of the ‘Great North Notts Baker’.
With one successful festival down, the BID, with That Girl’s assistance in organising, is looking forward to the second festival in 2020.

Meanwhile, the following month on Bank Holiday Sunday, saw Party in the Square in Retford. Another scorching day gave the people of North Notts chance to get out their chairs, pack the sun-cream and head to Retford’s market square for an afternoon of free musical entertainment. And thousands of them did!
Ginny Brown and the Collective kicked off the afternoon followed by Little Mix tribute act, the Little Fix Show. For those wanting a more swing style of music, local vocal harmonies band the Bowkers didn’t disappoint. Awesome Queen tribute, Mercury, really got the entire audience on their feet (despite the heat!) and went down a storm whilst headline act, Jake Quickenden certainly set a few hearts fluttering.

All in all, two amazing events with Party in the Square exceeding all expectations. That Girl was delighted to have arranged the organsation of both events and looks forward to doing it all again in 2020.
