That Girl was delighted to, once again, organise the programme for the Stamford Georgian Festival which took place for the second time since 2013 and the weather was again glorious!
A host of performances, re-enactments, tours and experiences took place between 25-27 September. This year saw the return of favourites such as the street market which took place over the entire weekend and was complemented by theatrical and musical performances in Browne’s hospital grounds, the return of Horrible Histories and the ever popular horse drawn carriage rides. The famous Stamford Bull Run also returned to the streets on Saturday evening culminating in a fiery finale complete with fireworks.
Take a look at this short video compilation of the weekend.
New for 2015 included re-enactments on the Meadows, period encampments, Mock Trials in the old courthouse, a sell out Georgian Ball and Georgian fashion extravaganza.
All in all a fantastic weekend which brought thousands of visitors to this stunning example of a Georgian stone town. Photos and further details are available at www.stamfordgeorgianfestival.co.uk
