ENTERPRISE WEEK 2014 – INSPIRE, INSIGHT, ADVISE

South Kesteven District Council is once again running Enterprise Week which ‘that girl’ has been delighted to organise. The exciting programme of events is aimed at start-up, small and medium sized enterprises with a view to helping them learn new skills, meet new contacts and ultimately grow their businesses.

The full programme is available at www.skdcenterpriseweek.co.uk listed on a day by day schedule. Tickets can be booked on various seminars and training sessions most for the small booking fee cost of £2.50 per person.

There is something for every kind of local business – from independent retailers to manufacturers, covering subjects such as social media, HR and legal issues, exporting and procurement to name a few.

The highlight of the week is the district wide networking event being held on Wednesday 19th March at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham. The evening will host the area finals of the Young Enterprise Awards as well as a keynote address from local entrepreneur and businessman Scott Weavers-Wright. Scott is recognised as one of the leading lights in online retail having previously transformed his family business, Kiddicare, into an award winning multi-channel etailer. It was purchased by Morrisons in 2011 for £70m. A short video clip of the evening is now available at:

As a legacy, many sessions will be recorded for upload to the website as webinars so if you can’t make a particular session, it may well be available to view afterwards. Please visit http://www.skdcenterpriseweek.co.uk/index.aspx?articleid=6111
