‘that girl’ has once again been delighted to produce the Newark Business Awards at Kelham Hall on behalf of the Advertiser Media Group.
With eleven awards up for grabs this year, competition was tough but the room was full and looked fantastic as always with stunning floral arrangements and, of course, a great set which was washed with colour via remote controlled LED lighting. This year, in a change with tradition, one large central screen dominated the set rather than the two smaller screens that have been used in previous years allowing for full HD projection. The audience saw each finalist via a short DVD clip before the winners of each category were announced and followed onto stage via a live camera feed.
Multi-marathon runner and inspirational business coach, Andy McMenemy, gave the keynote address explaining how tenacity is at the heart of any business venture and giving up was never an option when he undertook 66 marathons in 66 cities over 66 consecutive days.
